I just think there's such an illusion of determinism in the software industry. As if all things are observed. As if any finding must generalize. As if (and I think this one is a profound one) all software developers are uniform and entirely fungible

@grimalkina @lisihocke It seems to me that industry, and capitalism itself, is operating exactly as designed. Maybe what we need are ethical alternatives to industry and capitalism.

As if the environment into which you are delivering software is itself static, rather than a thing that can change in ways that make your previous ways of working less adaptive or less successful!
