1. Almost three and a half years ago, Putin chose war and invaded Ukraine, unleashing unspeakable violence and brutality upon the Ukrainian people.
2. Russia's continued targeting of civilian buildings and infrastructure is a grave violation of international humanitarian law.
3. If Russia stops fighting, there is no war. If Ukraine stops fighting, there will be no Ukraine.
Does it matter if it is driven like that in real life or wouldn‘t it matter most if russian propaganda has decided that this is the news they want the people to beleive in?
Indeed they are not. But I think the more telling information is not whether this is something that really took place or not, but that RT wants the world to believe it did.
I am always reminded by a friend who gave me excellent advice about how to ‘read’ speeches by dignitaries in Vietnam: he said: The content of the speech doesn’t matter, what is said doesn't matter. What matters is who speaks last and who speaks longest.
