startx isn't working, it says it can't compile a keymap. The only recent change to the computer was updating node.js, and df -h shows my root directory is at 100%. It said I had 27/28G used but it still showed up as 100%. I deleted the previous version of node, and now it says 26/28G and still 100%. I killed all processes marked as deleted. I tried to update apt in case that was the problem, and it said I don't have enough space.
So what are the best places to delete shit?
As far as .cache, there's actually a shitton of stuff in there! Would it be safe to just... `rm -rf ~/.cache/*` ? Or would I have to leave specific subfolders intact
df -i shows the same directory at 30 something % so it's not an inode problem. There had been processes running on deleted files, but killing them made no difference. I'm really hoping the error isn't just "my hard drive is crapping out" because I don't think that's a problem I can afford to fix 😭
