As I said in church this morning, the lyric has been in my mind regularly since late 2023/2024. It feels like it has never become irrelevant in the 29 years since the song was released.
Things came to a head at the end of June, when I decided I was going to see what I already had in my fabric stash. I had this perfect dark red fabric and then the contrasting feel of the dainty white/red flowers.
And then the black is a sibling fabric to the red, I believe. Partly because I didn't have enough red, partly because I had been trying to figure out what to do with the bomb shapes. I knew I wanted them included but hadn't yet thought about the bullet point layout. When that came to me, I realized I could use the black fabric to really tie it all together with the binding too.
Bonus: getting a bunch of the older folks in my church to listen to RatM?
