In between finishing my large quilt and a new cross stitch project, I've also been making new EPP hexagons: basting random bits of scrap fabric (mostly Kaffe Fassett Collection and/or other Free Spirit designers), I now have about 50 hexagons and more coming.

And thanks to a Zine made by @Kiki, I have found a possible new project: a Hex-Map!

This is one of those quilts that went unnamed the whole time I was working on it (I just referred to it as the create banner.) Sometimes it just takes awhile for the perfect name to make itself known -

HESSEL’S MANDATE

Improv pieced letters that read "To Create is To Resist". The letters are sewn from a series of tone-on-tone rainbow fabrics, with the first and last letter being red and the other letters mirroring each other, front to middle to back, in this order: pink, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple. The center word "Is" is pieced from tone-on-tone black fabric and the background fabric for the entire 5 foot plus banner is white.
Improv pieced letters that read "To Create is To Resist". Mae Alfred wedi i helpu fi sortio'r hecsagonau. Mae'r holl gwilt yn rhy fawr i gynllunio yn un darn, felly, dyn ni wedi rhannu yn chwarteri. Dwi ddim eisiau cael dau ddarn tebyg wrth ymyl ei gilydd. #Clytwaith#Cwilt

Alfred has helped me sort the hexagons. The whole quilt is too big to plan in one piece, so we've divided it into quarters. I don't want to have two similar pieces next to each other. #Patchwork#Quilt

This is my new quilt project. About 450 yellow or golden hexagons. I'm going to sew them together randomly, and hopefully, it will look like a honeycomb. #Patchwork#Quilt
