Germany defender passing to Esther in the box, terrible idea (unless you're Spain) luckily AKB with a fantastic save. Also enjoyed AKB positioning a Germany player in front of Esther on the corner. Berger trains with Esther every day, she knows what a menace she is on corners.

- So far AKB is winning the Battle of the Bats but never count Esther out
- Spain look the better team but Germany still threatening

Germany has no defenders on the bench. They've been absolutely battered by injury (& stupid reds). And yet the defensive work rate has been sublime. I'm so impressed.

Klara Buhl too has done a tremendous job defensively
