I can't believe #TomSteyer is my favourite in the #California governor's race
Discussion
@evan yeah, I was supporting Porter because she's a protege of Elizabeth Warren and I liked her in Congress, but it looks like she's out of the running. I'm waiting for another couple of weeks to vote just to see where (reputable!) polls are. Today , I would vote for Steyer. I didn't like him at first because of the billionaire thing, but friends and others I trust speak well of him and his political achievements. He's sincere according to personal reports. Becerra has said some bad things lately, and as AG he worked against police transparency and accountability. He's backed off of single-payer. 😞 😞 I worry he would be just another corporate Democrat and just another Newsom.
@jamesmarshall the #OurRevolution endorsement was pretty enthusiastic:

@evan yes they were.
I gotta get hype about #KatiePorter I guess
@evan I really like Katie Porter! I was sorry she lost the primary to Schiff for Diane Feinstein's old seat. The NY Times says Bianco, Hilton, Steyer, and Becerra are 1-4 in the polls. I hope Porter makes it to the General, I think she would win in a head to head.
As far as I can tell there's not a clear #ProPalestine candidate. Steyer called AIPAC a "dark money organization", but I'm not sure being anti-AIPAC is the same as being pro-Palestine. I can't see any who have used the G word or who endorse economic pressure on Israel. At the same time, it's a state position, not a federal one, so I'm probably not going to hold it as a litmus test.
Fortunately #USCPRAction has a good list of #ProPalestine federal candidate endorsements:

#SaikatChakrabarti is on my ballot and I look forward to voting for him.
