Is this actively maintained? Doesn't look to get very regular commits over the last year, and MatterMost is a commercial service, and they're committing fairly regularly over there;
https://github.com/mattermost/mattermost
Also, MatterMost has some licensing issues, including Source Available components;
@strypey You mean server changes the lack of which in Mostlymatter may cause some side effects in the recent UI? Yeah, it's probably safer to use some previous version of Mattermost frontend to interact with Mostlymatter server then. And IIRC it will host the appropriate web app anyway, so side effects only apply to recent desktop/mobile versions that come from upstream. It is rather unfortunate, but if shoe fits.
Licensing issues? IANAL. I know, this sucks. Either stay away from discovery, jurisdiction it passes by or take another software.

I mean server changes that might fix critical security bugs created by changes in upstream components, etc. Mind you, MM isn't E2EE anyway, so that's less of a concern. I wouldn't say anything on a MM I wouldn't say loudly in a crowded train station.

Seem fairly minor, compared to RocketChat. You may not be worried, but I think folks ought to know in case they are.

@vintprox just in case you missed it the first time around, here's the link I included when I pointed out that there are licensing issues:

I'd hate you leave you hanging, thinking I'd claimed a project has proprietary components without supplying details : D
@strypey I just recall Mattermost being like this some years ago, so your comment resonated. And thanks for the details!
