@dansup @pfefferle lets bring photos and images back to the photoverse and leave it at that. The photoverse is for photos (and images) - it's on the name. There are other places to share video, keep them there.

@aarRJaay @dansup this is not about long texts on #pixelfed or #vernissage (they can both fall back to show the summary), it is about supporting image posts with the object type: `Article`
@dansup @pfefferle I’m pretty sure that’s how my partner primarily uses instagram. It’s carousels of headlines and infographics with a long-ish discussion in the description. That’s medicine instagram though, not sure how much that applies to other bubbles
@dansup
What are you talking about? You again seem to forget that pixelfed is supposed to be part of the Fediverse! You can't be an island!
@pfefferle
@rwaschbaer @pfefferle We are an island of photo centric posts, if you want a micro/macro-blogging platform, use something else.
WRONG! You are part of the fediverse so it's key, that interaction between all the plattforms and needs are possible!
@dansup @pfefferle
@rwaschbaer @pfefferle thats pretty entitled of you, and you are wrong, its up to the creator of each platform to set the boundaries as they wish.
Perhaps you should build your own?
@dansup @pfefferle
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?????
@rwaschbaer @dansup @pfefferle just to add my two cents: when I want to read a lot of text, I don't go to Pixelfed. just like I didn't bother about lots of text on Instagram. imo Pixelfed is a platform with an emphasis on images. there are other platforms for text-based posting
@dansup but that is a totally different discussion I think. switching to `Note` on the WordPress site and I am able to publish images.
The `Note` object type is no indicator for "it is truly an image post" nor is `Article` an indicator for "the post has only a header image".
