It'll be Kemi Badenoch next. Then the last Tory survivor can switch off the lights and shutter the windows.

Honestly, I would've thought she would consider Reform a bunch of wet lefties. Given her own politics.

Since we're at it: since when is "shutter the window/the shop/whatever" common in English? In my school days 50 yrs ago this was all "shut".

@slowtiger Shutters go across windows. You tend to close and lock them (if you've got them) before you leave a building for the long term.

I wonder which lawyers are currently making a packet working out who owns the various assets. Because I'm damn sure the Tories don't want Nigel Farage's private company to just get "their stuff" by default, whether or not they want to merge at a political level.

There may already be funny business going on with Reform 2025 Ltd (co. 11694875) and Reform UK Party Ltd (co. 16260766) having swapped names 16 May 2025

Farage has been playing games with company registrations for years - anyone can access the filing histories at https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/ - search for Nigel Paul Farage and follow the links.

@Phosphenes It's more like the Tory party is sinking rapidly and the rats are deserting.

There's a by-election soon and it will be *enlightening* to see whether RUK or the Greens take it from Labour (after Starmer backstabbed Andy Burnham's attempt to run for the seat).

Theoretically rats are not supposed to leave a sinking ship for a sinking lifeboat.

My mistake then was the assumption that RUK is sinking, based on its cosiness to an increasingly hated American regime.

So UK could join US in Hell?

In the US our Greens are a joke. They are professional spoilers without a plan. Hopefully better in the UK.
