👀 Keep your eye on Richard Wordsworth, the guy cast by Val Guest as the hapless Victor Carroon because "he had the right sort of face for the part".
His performance is frequently compared with that of Boris Karloff in Frankenstein (1931).
Guest directed Wordsworth to "hold back just a mite of what you're feeling". That way the role would not be overplayed. (Wordsworth had been working in the theater.)

👀 Watch for a scene showing the three astronauts in space, we see one of them walking up the left wall of the circular cabin.
❓ Does it remind you of the scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) where the stewardess walks on the wall of a circular corridor? Maybe not a coincidence.

👀 Check out actress Margia Dean, who plays Judith Carroon. The former beauty queen got the job because she was "associated with" 20th Century Fox president, Spyros Skouras.
Val Guest: "She was a sweet girl, but she couldn't act".
Her American accent was problematic so her lines were dubbed later.

What's with the unusual spelling of Xperiment?
It was related to getting an 'X' Certificate from the BBFC, restricting admission to persons over the age of sixteen. The rating was used as a marketing ploy - successfully.
Market research showed that audiences liked the horror part of this film better, and so Hammer Films adjusted and became synonymous with horror as we know it today.
