👀 Keep your eye on Richard Wordsworth, the guy cast by Val Guest as the hapless Victor Carroon because "he had the right sort of face for the part".
His performance is frequently compared with that of Boris Karloff in Frankenstein (1931).
Guest directed Wordsworth to "hold back just a mite of what you're feeling". That way the role would not be overplayed. (Wordsworth had been working in the theater.)
