@jaredwhite I'm currently reading Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States". I'm encouraging others to do the same. Please read it if you have not. It is brutal but it shows how we resist.
We've absolutely been here before. The Civil War, yes, but in the years after that, throughout the late 1800s and first half of the 1900s. The nation was riotous. General Strikes and general struggle with very militant unions. We're just at the beginning of what those decades looked like.
@dennyhenke I get all that, and I'm much less informed than I should be. I was specifically thinking though of how at odds our federal government is with certain states. Is there precedent for governors like Walz or Newsom talking about the feds as if they're a hostile foreign power and visa-versa? Just seems like something out of speculative fiction, hard to wrap my head around.
@jaredwhite FIFA and the Olympic committee need to move the games out of the US. It is a dangerous and lawless failed state.

We have a name.
Star Tribune has identified the ICE agent who shot Renee Good as Jonathan Ross. He is described as an “experienced” officer.
Information is just coming to light. I'll share more when more is reported.
@jaredwhite Definitely experienced at shooting people accurately in the face anyhow.
The Intercept has published a lot more information about Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who has been identified as the shooter of Renee Nicole Good.

@jaredwhite I think it's a politically motivated murder in relatilation for her exercising her basic human right to freedom of movement.
