It's always tricky working through old family stuff. Just been looking at a folder with these sorts of old photo pages in, not sure where from, heck knows if of use to anyone - whole bunch of St Andrews, some of Fountains Abbey, and then a scattering of European places.

Two pictures of the ruins of Fountains Abbey, old and black & white. One has a 1917 date written on it: both have labels on the photo which suggest they are from a publication.

@JubalBarca
I'm hoping to donate old photos to the museum conservation dept of my local uni. They took my mom's wedding dress & old hand-knitted items. Students will use them to practice conservation & restoration techniques. Hoping also that maybe some local orgs, incl. local historical societies, will want photos of local attractions from different eras. Disposing of this stuff is a job! (I just inventoried 500+ family slides from 1960s, only ~1K to go...)

@dbaplanb I think it's much easier if you're local to the relevant area - this is multiple generations of backlog such that we'd have to do a three month Europe & Britain tour to get round everywhere relevant to donate things!
