Latest FOSS Academic post is -- you guessed it -- a 2025 year in review post. Thrill to the fact that I'm using much of the same FOSS to do my work as I always have! Feel the chills as I talk about #generativeAI and how terrible it is! Above all, join me in living the FOSS Academic Lifestyle Dream!

The annual conference of the Association of Internet Researchers is fast approaching! Scheduled for mid-October in Brazil, hundreds of Internet scholars (like me!) will convene to do what we do: share cat pictures.

@rwg thanks for this post,
A) Is there an easy way for Ghost blogs to implement what you did for your blog’s comment section?
B) Mine is a bit more basic compared to yours, but you might still find it interesting. I wrote about FOSS software for scholars:

@douuuu I thought Ghost now supported AP? Does that not include comments/replies?

I have limited experience with Ghost but what I implemented was a Javacript someone created, so if you self-host Ghost, maybe you can add it?

Thanks for the link to your blog!

@rwg Thanks for the post! Makes me want to have a closer look at #Marp, although I am all in with #Quarto for Markdown-based writing and publishing...
