I find it striking how the focus of the game is *not* about Link.
Most Zelda games feature link as the protagonist, and the main-line adventures since #OcarinaOfTime look at Link's personal journey. People address him by name. He worries about his sister/friend/princess. Link never speaks in any title, but he has facial *reactions* to events.

By contrast, in Majora's Mask, it's notable how little of the game is focused on Link. In cutscenes, the camera rarely points at Link's face. Instead, we see other people's feelings; usually some form of grief or trauma. Link is a witness and an actor in their struggles, but not emotionally involved.
