Of course this does mean that I'm currently a bit obsessed with Sabacc, the in-universe equivalent to poker. I may or may not be 3D printing my own chips and tokens as I write this… now to find a nice set of cards!

@cassidy Far Cry 3 still requires you to login with username and password every time you start it. 😂 It's also an offline, single player game.
@cassidy Things like this—and many others EA and Ubisoft do—made me decide to never buy from them again. Now I mainly only buy DRM-free games on GOG, and maybe on Steam as long as the store page doesn't say it has intrusive DRM or Requires 3rd-Party Account. That information is on the right column on the game page, in yellow to be visible, as it's important.
You can see the warning on the Star Wars Outlaws page on Steam. Check it out and learn from this frustrating experience.
@jntesteves it's a bit different on the PlayStation, which is my preferred console (maybe until I end up getting a Steam Machine? 🤔). Like I mentioned, I got the game on a stupidly good deal and it's not like I can buy a modern Star Wars RPG from anyone else. Which is a whole other problem…
@cassidy there are certain publishers who just want to put an eyepatch on your head and a parrot on your shoulder
@cassidy That is so annoying! Because of that, I haven't bought any new EA and Ubisoft games for quite a while, eventhough I would really like to play some of them them :(

Just play retrogames, there are plenty of them: #nes, #megadrive, #Commodore64, #Amiga, #MAME and the like. Instant on 😆
@cassidy I have to sign in a couple of times when trying to play Halo on my Steam Deck. With the onscreen keyboard, phone hotspot, captchas. I just don't bother now.
