Egypt is more than its iconic pyramids.
Today, it's a key global player and strategic partner for the EU.
During the first EU-Egypt Summit, the EU committed to:
💰 €4 billion in Macro-Financial Assistance to support Egypt's economy
💶 €75 million in support of socio-economic reforms benefiting local communities
Egypt also joins Horizon Europe, allowing local researchers to participate in large-scale projects alongside European peers.

@EUCommission - let's not let human rights get in the way of trade and profit-making research.
People can always be replaced.
@EUCommission outreach and cooperation like this is great, generally. But we need to start having ethical reviews of our partnerships.
We are fully integrating an apartheid state into our economies. A genocide is still ongoing and 700,000 Israeli settlers live on stolen Palestinian properties and land.
All the while the EU “stands shoulder to shoulder with” the villains.
