The Trump admin is now 0-4 with its compact. Glad to see these institutions are getting wise and insisting on reproducing elite social order their own terms (really, I am, bc the alternative is worse)

#UVA has also rejected the feds' compact, the first public university to do so! Good news going into the weekend

No one's signed on yet that I know of tho Texas responded that they were "honored" to be approached. I feel so rotten for the students and faculty in that state
Also he opened it up to more schools later this wk, so it may be that we start to see some alignments. Still better to have a patchwork if that happens than everyone falling in unison
what's partly interesting abt Brown & Penn saying no now is they'd previously made bad deals with the admin
