A true story of a woman's sacrifice.

Within living memory, this story was told me by way of whispers in by women in my family. In true Chinese tradition, we try to avoid talking about unfortunate events in case the bad juju sticks to us.

But I couldn't let this go. I don't know her name and those who did are no longer with us. Let this be her part of her legacy.
