Spring sun
in every pool of water—

Lights against the sky
in a spectrum of color;
a vivid rainbow
Another straw man
standing in a field of corn,
startling no one
She startles in step,
as a flock of geese, squawking,
fly by, overhead
The "she" is our dog, yesterday, startled in mid-step of playing fetch as the geese flew. She looked at me, as if to say, what the heck was THAT? And me replying, you see it every year.
