I’m thinking about creating an audiobook that comes in the form of nonsensical short tracks that can be shuffled to tell a different story each time.

Kelly expanded her arms like a flying squirrel and whispered...

"Who wants to get slimy?"

Bruce climbed out of his bunker and exclaimed...

"Cuddle party starts at noon!"

Gwendolyn retorted with an emphatic sigh...

"Sloppy papa on deck!"

@Alice yes!

I have something kind of like that. It's by Chris Ware. The parts of the story come in a game box, like Monopoly. It's called BUILDING STORIES, and he designed it so you could tell the story in a bunch of different ways by rearranging it. I don't know how to design something that would work in so many ways. I would love more imaginative people to try to do the same thing. Maybe that person is you.

@Alice not an audiobook but I have a copy of the novel Tristano which every printed copy of (translated or in the original Italian) is uniquely numbered and unique in the order of the paragraphs within. Each paragraph is itself a series of often seemingly disconnected nearly nonsensical statements. But as you read it themes are explored, a story emerges and sections are phrases I want to quote often.

It’s a really unique thing and work of art glad I read my copy
