@davidgerard "Learn how AI being used to games faster than ever" - they can't even get the grammar right. Isn't that supposed to be something GenAI is actually pretty good at?
@farah Might I suggest you smack an ass?
@adhdeanasl Fresh outta ass
"Omarchy should not matter. But sadly it does. As a power grab."
I wrote about why we have to care about Omarchy. As a fascist power grab within the FLOSS ecosystem.
The list of software industry trends below resonates with what I’m seeing and hearing from friends.
• IDE usage has plummeted in favor of coding agent CLIs.
• Flattening, Super ICs and career development is on the back burner everywhere.
• Costs now matter for AI tokens.
• Everyone is overworked
@carnage4life Interesting how we’re overworked, when AI was supposed to solve that, right?
Tokyo police have arrested two American women for allegedly smuggling $1 million worth of cannabis into Japan, with one suspect claiming she was motivated by the idea of a free trip to the country. https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2026/09/11/japan/crime-legal/cannabis-us-women-arrest/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=mastodon #japan #crimelegal #cannabis #marijuana #drugs #smuggling #japanesepolice #hanedaairport
Nie zaczyna się bujać, kiedy wisi się na włosku.
Huti docierają do Bab al-Mandab, ropa znów przebija 100 dolarów, światowe zapasy maleją, a wojna USA z Iranem zamiast wygasać otwiera kolejne fronty. Za tę głupotę zapłacimy wszyscy.

@schmudde email is infuriating until you realise its just paper that can teleport, and each reply is also just paper, and it has all the same strengths and weaknesses of letters written on paper.
which makes it immediately clear why email is so bad at being a groupchat
@pavo Wow. Perfectly put. Noting it and saving this tweet for later citation. 😀
Good article in @thebristolcable.org on trans representation on the telly in the 2010s and how badly we've been backsliding https://thebristolcable.org/2026/09/a-new-trans-tipping-point/
After a very slow start to the melt season in the Beaufort Sea, lower concentration ice gave way quickly to large departures in this region. Laptev Sea ice has also been persistent this year.
+ Concentration = fraction of sea ice

Italians looked at it and said..."no". 😆
@stefano @ModestinoSycamore @gumnos you forgot the fingers. It's No!! with fingers.
What a lovely song from Inara George. "Love is Love is Love":
@benbrown is it an openbook?
It's been 31 days since I exercised my right to be forgotten under GDPR by submitting the request to Ryanair (I used them once while I was a student, long time ago).
I can still login on their page.
I'll try to contact their Data Protection Officer but we'll see how that goes.
Never forget #911
While this *might* be relatively innocent tinfoil-hattery, it could also be an amazingly cost-effective example of asymmetric warfare (target the most gullible minds with a conspiracy theory that gives them an incentive to vandalize transport infrastructure):
Pensioners attack Devon traffic lights over wild 'deadly weapon' claims
An online movement say that the sensors on traffic lights can cause heart attacks, brain cancer, anxiety and even sudden death

@cstross I think whether it originated as asymmetric warfare or not it will definitely be that now. Both Russia and China (and likely others) are heavily invested in creating and keeping these kinds of things active.
