LLM usage isn't binary though. The "mostly generated" clause suggests it's fine to have used an LLM to build a small function, for example - at which point, but not putting a number on it, you're into "how much is too much".

To be fair to them, it feels like they're taking a very pragmatic position of effectively saying "no LLM-code, but we're not gonna be fanatical about it".

3. There is a wealth of incredibly powerful software tooling available but it requires up-front learning and tends to not have a conventional end-user UI and so will intimidate nontechnical users. It is well worth figuring them out though, if only so that they no longer intimate you.

Do you live in the corridor of possible North American smoke? The lull in smoke is a good time to work with your local government and neighbor groups to plan protections for people with health conditions, and order/make air purifiers.

@xyhhx - Yes. The short answer is that anything that can be grown can be grown hydroponically - you just have to have the right system and configurations.

Concerning the kratky methods shown above, generally you give the plant as much water as it would need for its entire life cycle.

So the leafy greens here take about a third to a half gallon of wafer to produce one head of lettuce for example. (I put five plants into five gallon bins and each head of lettuce grows twice in a cut-and-come-again method).

But a tomato plant, for another example, might need 40 gallons of water for an entire cycle. While you certainly can put a single seed on top of a 40 gallon drum, weight and space make that not feasible.

So you might use something like kratky+ and have a gravity fed reservoir feed down into grow bins and use a float valve with it.

Of course, you're not limited to kratky and you can use other hydroponic methods to grow.

As an anecdote, I have a good friend that grows small pepper plants right out of mason jars, so you find what works.
