Le gouvernement macron trouve qu'il y a trop de pauvres et attend qu'ils crèvent de pauvreté, de chaud, de froid, de manque d'accès à la santé. C'est tellement clair si on arrête d'écouter ce qu'ils disent, et qu'on regarde ce qu'ils font.

Wollte nicht die GLS-Bank mal was mit Taler machen? Wenn sei dann auch noch den Währungswechsel anbieten, den sie als allgemeine Bank ja eh schon machen, könnte das der Anfang zu einer guten Lösung sein.

Und wie das Währung-Tauschen funktioniert, das habe ich auch noch nicht geblickt. Wenn man Taler mal ernsthaft betreiben will, da gibt es viel zu beachten und tausende Optionen. Man kann so lustige Dinge machen wie 1 Cent-Einheiten nach x Monaten verfallen lassen, aber 2 Einheiten nach y Monaten. Inkl. unterschiedlicher Transaktionsgebühren. Aber da müssen wir uns wohl eher so 2-5 Jahre noch gedulden, bis wir da was marktfähiges haben.

I got weird vibes when W Social was announced at Davos. Elena's piece confirmed these feelings.
In my words:
W Social seem to be opportunists looking for a way to benefit from the need for better socials. In whatever way. They seem to operate in similar ways as #bigtech & their main objective does not seem to align with their more lofty "save democracy" statements.

Mais sinon tout va bien, c'est ok de louer des apparts qui soient E niveau énergétique, et "on approche de l'été donc c'est normal qu'il fasse chaud" (merci le syndic). Okay j'ai plus les moisissures et les reflux de tabac, mais (je vous préviens, je suis grumpy): allez cuire en enfer bande de cons.

Have been mostly melting in the heat and trying not to succumb to heatstroke, it's so hot even at night here. I've just assembled a fan I forgot I had for the bedroom, the downstairs has last year's aircon unit which is doing a lot of heavy lifting! I dread my energy bill this month but my god was it needed.
Today is a quiet one, though I'm trying to book an appointment at the GP which is frustratingly difficult. Other than that, more melting!

@lexicaleigh I have this theory that anywhere that is hot enough to need AC has sunshine enough to power the AC. Not necessarily much use to someone who lives in the middle of a block of flats, but if you have your own roof or land it's difficult to imagine why you would need to burn carbon to run the AC.
@artemis Well, a call center I worked for a decade ago had German speakers of Indian descent. Because racists complained so much about their 'foreign accents' (they actually had a thicker Berlin drawl than me), management renamed them.
To this day, I get a hoot phoning my pal Raj and asking for Herbert German.

Making nicer "hey you can't see this thing" web pages for when stuff is not visible on the web, or when it's been deleted, cuz people found the previous error message a bit confusing.
These new error pages will return 410 Gone and 401 Unauthorized properly as well.
