There is purported livestream footage of the San Diego mosque shooters committing suicide. You don't need to see that & I recommend avoiding X today.

If verified, it shows patches on a plate carrier; one appears to be a sonnenrad (nazi symbol), the other is hard to make out, maybe AWD.

AWD (atomwaffen division) has been defunct for years now, but remains a powerful symbol for accelerationist youth. There was a recent attempt to revive it that was generally considered a larp, not endorsed by former members & never gained steam. But the mystique is still strong.

A good deal of the youth terror scene is creating little larp groups modelled on AWD, that mostly put their energy into aesthetics before fizzling out. But these youth terror cells are sometimes used as recruitment pipelines for groups like Injekt Division.

Not saying the San Diego mosque shooters were a part of any of this, but if that is indeed an AWD patch it points to possible proximity to such networks.

It's also possible these guys could just be wearing it like edgy branding, like a terror Nike swoop.

At its simplest an amplifier can be a single large transistor possibly wrapped in resistors & capacitors. Whilst a low pass filter can be achieved by connecting a resistor in series & a capacitor in parallel.

Already at this stage we can adjust how much the amplifier increases the volume by, how fast data's transferred between the USB-interface chip & the microphone or speaker. Ideally we'd adjust (by disconnecting capacitors?) the low-pass filter to match the sample-rate.

@404mediaco I wonder if US or UK law is stronger when pursuing damages for something like that. I suspect the guy who's already gotten himself banned from a bunch of streaming services will get to find out.

@bagder counter question what would be the downsides if we don't? Many organizations already have a hard time dealing with the vulnerability reports. They are drowning already in insignificant CVEs. And the situation isn't getting better. As a result important vulnerabilities aren't addressed as quickly as they could.

But on the other hand it's already questionable what's considered low, medium and high. Official scoring often does not match what an organization would do for themselves.

Whatever you do, for some people it will be negative. You have to balance the equation to be net positive. A really hard one to solve. Maybe even impossible to solve.

In an unconfirmed livestream video of the mass shooting, the shooters appear to both be wearing black sun (nazi) patches and AWD (atomwaffen division) patches. Writings on the gun include the logo for the nazi accelerationst group The Base, the numbers 14 and 88, TND, and the othala rune.
