Stevie gave expression to my becoming radicalism, at age, ooooo, idunno, 12 or so.
And he showed me a Christianity, not just in this song, but over and over again, that I could appreciate. (I'm a non-rabid atheist, but I get it, I fucking get it.)
This was the first pop album I ever bought. And the whole album is stellar.

at this point, though, i'm voting green not out of any feeling that it would be different for them — who knows? — but to say "yes please these policies"…
@fishidwardrobe Yeah, that makes sense. Rather take a bet on the guys who haven't failed you, than the ones you know will because it's all they've ever done. Particularly when the up and comer has a platform SIGNIFICANTLY left of the old guard.

It's just kind of a half assed allusion to shuffling the deck chairs - which seems to be what a RAPIDLY DISINTEGRATING centrist establishment all of the Pig Empire is prepared to offer after their collective catastrophic failure of handing so many of us into the clutches of fascists.
"Switch the batteries around in the slots, maybe that'll fix it" - idiots, and apparently liberal political minions.
I feel like there's an element of "neither left nor right, but Green" to the party - particularly wings of the party that have been around since the 1990's and well Imma be honest, I've learned to never trust anyone pitching "neither left nor right" at this point.
It doesn't have to be that way - but until I start seeing Green pols in action who aren't that way, it's a hard fear to shake. I'm just not a big Green Party supporter - not many sane Americans are.
