Adulthood is just cycling between "If I don't say yes to every opportunity, no new opportunities will ever be offered to me" and "Oh no, I have said yes to too many things" over and over until you die.
@evacide We must use every opportunity we have, and if so the opportunity is used by others.
I have ever read about the book, with a title "OPPORTUNITIES DRIFTING BY"

the uutils situation was very unsurprising to me, because the first people to attempt a rewrite of coreutils would be those who know enough programming to be confident, but not enough systems programming to realize the challenge at hand and the respect it requires. reminds me of the 10-yo Alba, thinking she was a good programmer
This is the first litigation of this particular flavor that I remember seeing. Feels to me like Google might be in dangerous territory.

Intervista sul Fediverso
Parlo di fediverso con @danielebesana - il tema non è semplice, e credo -temo- di averlo semplificato troppo.

Thanks for pointing out the fix for anyone who needs it, but (there's always a "but") isn't it a bit strange to be running only IPv6 on a LAN?
@ecadre The LAN was dual stack with working IPv4 and broken IPv6.
The Debian installer kept picking the IPv6 addresses and not failing over to IPv4 - it might have done so eventually, if I had waited long enough, but I had things to do!
I'm sure there are other ways to work around the issue, but this was simple and did the job.
