@SRAZKVT hmmm i'm not sure ! usually faces are stressful and distracting for me i used to do pokemon backgrounds but even those can be too much so i ran them through a photoshop plugin
This simple composition was made with a small FF mirrorless camera, 21mm lens, and travel tripod during a short hike.
I didn't have any ND filters with me, so ended up having to shoot this in the bright midday light at f/8. That yields too much DoF to allow focus to separate the tree from the background. But fortunately there was just enough haze to reduce the contrast of the distant hills a bit, yielding a high contrast subject with a lower contrast background. So it worked out in the end.
@mattblaze How do you like your Leica? I have been eyeing the M9 and comparing with one of Sony's FF offerings.
Point me at that USB-C cable that does it all.
TY. 😊 💕
@ann3nova Anker makes good 100W-capable USB-C cables. I've had no issues with them.
A question for #Lemmy users:
Which instance are you on, and how would you rate its speed?
Listening to the new Black Keyes album. Solid (blues) rock music 🤘
@lechindianer Sounds like my kind of jam!
Honestly if something uses bold text I just assume it's AI generated. Real humans use italics.
@willhbr so I'm not a **real** human?

Open source maintainers need to go in with open eyes
"To labour out of love, and to choose to share their work freely in a market society, OSS developers find themselves in a position where they are vulnerable to exploitation and harm."
Switching registrars AND VPS at the same time ... what could possibly go wrong
Narrator: The wrongness would indeed not "go" but instead last for 5 to 7 business day 🤡
@iamkonstantin why? 😱
Most of the world’s solar panels are fixed in one position. But what if they tracked the movement of the sun?

Why does Mastodon not have even an attempt at nuclear block? Someone can just reply to you, block you, then your server will diligently stop you from viewing their posts but everyone else still can in your replies, even if you block them back (if you manage to notice)??
Even Twitter does better than this (the above was an active abuse tactic on Twitter years back and they fixed it). I get that with federation it's tricky to fully nuke a reply, but at least your local instance should be able to hide replies of blocked users from everyone else local and from queries for context from other instances??
@lina that's very weird, I don't think the people behind mastadon thought that far ahead
Whoever had this sticker made up, I love you.
I must buy this now that you have influenced me.
@delta @deltatouch @sovtechfund sounds great but I genuinely ask myself what you'll do with that money 🤔 isn't the chatmail server impl already complete?
@lutindiscret @deltatouch @sovtechfund
chatmail relays, and the associated email infrastructure, are evolving quite a lot but we don't post much about it here. #chatmail infrastructure also is the *core Rust library* which is used by all the clients, so it's not just the "server" side. See also https://chatmail.at
