"memory" means "used directly in computation", so the computers calculating my logs are going to need a hell of an i/o layer. and since i'm not working at the national labs and i will be making my own kernel without them, they're not going to have that i/o layer at all

@Marloezovic @techdirt.com Zoals ik het begrijp uit het citaat van Fight (Fight for the Future), is dat Meta de situatie uitbuit om veel informatie uit de leeftijdsverificatie te halen, en daarbij zoveel mogelijk bedrijven mee te slepen in de chaos en rommel die ontstaat in het verifiëren van de leeftijd. Volgens Fight is hier geen eenduidige methode voor en iedere manier heeft haken en ogen. Dat mogen dan ook appstores en andere social-media bedrijven oplossen. Dat betekent m.i. ook dat er veel meer actie ondernomen moet worden tegen al die bedrijven die daar een oplossing voor zoeken door privacy-onvriendelijke leeftijdsverificatie aan te bieden. In ieder geval wordt leeftijdsverificatie in deze rechtszaak gelegitimeerd, en dat is op zich al een gevaar voor de privacy.
