Back in the 1960s they beefed up the generators from 60 MW to 500MW because they were more efficient, though initially they weren't very reliable.
Bigger peower stations (nuclear, coal or gas) then just used a number of these but for the nuclear with only one big reactor.
I suppose RR are just proposing to size down the nuclear reactor size to match a minimum efficient generator and hence make a power station modular rather than monolithic. The idea is also that they can be mostly built off-site and then assembled on-site.

Our experience here in Germany suggests that the decision whether to install these systems is a no-brainer. Recently, one of the discount supermarkets here had 2 panels + inverter for sale for 205€.

At current prices, they should pay for themselves in 4-5 years, even under conservative assumptions.

Germany recently updated the rules so that renters don’t need the landlord’s permission to install panels - that’s helpful too.

I would support the following limits:

Donations under £25 do not have to be accounted to individuals but may be no more than 10% of a party's total income (donations that are accounted to an individual do not count towards the 10% cap, even if below £25).

No individual may donate more than £10,000 in total to political parties, including donations to multiple candidates or donations to multiple parties.

Individuals may not donate to support individual candidates that they are not eligible to vote for (modulo the 10% loophole).

Individuals may not donate to support political parties that do not field candidates in elections that they are eligible to vote in during the election following their donation (modulo the 10% loophole).

No organisation may donate to a party, though organisations may encourage their members to donate to specific parties.

Any elected official who is found to have violated these rules is removed from office immediately and may not stand in the by election.

Any losing candidate who is found to have violated these rules may not stand for election for four years.

Any candidate who is found to have violated these rules more than once is banned from standing for elected office and barred from corporate directorships, in perpetuity.

Any political party that is found to have violated the rules in more than 10% of the constituencies in which it stands candidates in any election is barred from fielding any candidates in the following election for the same class of official (MP, city, county councillor, whatever) and any by elections for that class of official until the next full election. Candidates from constituencies where the rules were not violated may stand for other parties or as independent candidates, but if they reaffirm their original party affiliation (including receiving any funding or support) after being elected then this triggers an immediate by election in which they may not stand.

Of course, the parties that are in power by routinely violating the rules would never vote for something that would introduce consequences for their behaviour.

But this would completely torpedo Reform.
