Narrowly, the fight over the habeas petition to the district court revolves around the Trump regime’s effort to use immigration statutes that limit federal district courts jurisdiction. These statutes make certain determinations by immigration courts reviewable only by either federal courts of appeal or the Secretary of State. 8/
Habeas petitions must be heard by federal district judges, so the Trump regime is effectively arguing that lawfully present asylum seekers detained and confined by ICE fall outside the protection of habeas. 9/

This is the problem we need to solve. MBA pod people with buddies working for DataFarming corporations, and total dictatorial control over govt IT procurement ( @lightweight wrote a couple more thorough and well argued blog posts on this).
We need to go over their heads by making it a political issue and getting laws passed to protect digital sovereignty, as EU are. Thus the OP : )

An excellent finish to the recent edition of the Tunnel training. Seeing powerful new tightly secured censorship-resistant VPNs born and singing, each able to serve hundreds of people that need it (or even functioning as private LAN layer atop public Internet infrastructure), gives me such a buzz each time.
Congrats to the participants, focused and determined. This is reclamation of Internet infrastructure and the fundamental right to privacy in action.
Photographers! I have a question. If you were to travel with your fancy camera, and only take one lens with you, what would you bring?
I'm leaving Monday on a trip, and I'm considering narrowing it down to one lens. For context, I have a Canon R5 mirrorless, and a pretty decent selection of lenses. I'm interested in what you'd being regardless of brand though.

@kattni @vmbrasseur I’m a cheap amateur photographer, so I have an APSC camera (Sony ZVE10).
I mostly like to snap pictures of people doing something, so I like to have rather narrow and focused pictures.
My 50mm prime lens does the job (with the 1.5 crop factor that’s “equivalent” to a full frame 75mm).
If I were richer I’d buy a zoom lens in the 20-70mm range (still APSC), as long as it can open at a constant f/2.8.
