Like Obama and Biden competing to be "Deporter in Chief" didn't get them anywhere with Republicans or the Republican controlled media. It just helped Republicans promote a fake controversy that enabled Trump's election and the kinds of pogroms we see today, which Democrats of course turn a blind eye to.

@randahl in my work experience the Russian mentality is different from the European or American. They are very hierarchical and obedient. They tend not to question their leaders, and at the same time leaders do not tolerate critique. If this scales to politics, it takes a lot to escalate into a revolution. The last revolution was driven by immense personal pain, hunger and lack of everything. They are not there yet.
