El acto se realiza en un lugar hasta la bandera de doctores y sus familiares. Estos encuentros suelen ser emocionantes y bonitos, con alguna lágrima furtiva.

Al pavo le resulta inevitable y se pone a cantar alabanzas a la IA. Es clamorosa la respuesta colectiva: le abuchean cada vez que saca a pasear argumentos como si seguimos invirtiendo colectivamente, tendremos la catedral del conocimiento humano; es que es inevitable; si vais contra la ciencia es lo de menos porque la IA estará también ahí.

Parece que les cuesta cada vez más vender humo. Hay esperanza.

I’ve had a similar awakening a few months when realising that GitHub shows you thr cost of free-for-open-source Actions usage. On of my decidedly low-traffic but big test suite (173 checks) would cost thousands of dollars per month.

I have come to the inevitable conclusion that they’ve played us all for fools. We all have infinitely fast dev machines, but we need to rent a dev machine’s worth of servers every month to run an open source project?

other random thing about llm driven rewrites is people are going to find out that a passing test suite is a much looser constraint on program behaviour than they think it is

people feel like test suites have high specification power because they break their tests easily. but this is because the tests check for deviations from the original implementation. they don't contain nearly enough information to faithfully generate the program from scratch

I didn't consider it for that purpose, but I suppose you could do that. My main concern for a desk with a server would be venting since servers put off a lot of heat. At minimum, I would drill holes in the bottom/side(s) nearest to the server to prevent it from overheating.

Me, replacing all my workers with chatbots: "hahaha suck it you filthy serfs; I'll never have to care about wages, pronouns, or human resources getting on my ass for sexual harassment again!"

Me, reading my token-based bill estimate for June: "oh noes, my business model is not profitable and they're ransoming my AI girlfriend back to me at exorbitant prices; I'm ruined - someone save my business!"

Update. Another article made it through peer review (at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons) proclaiming two false generalizations, that (all or most) #OpenAccess journals charge #APCs and that (all or most) paid APCs are paid by authors.
