Ok so here's an update, at least in my testing, the Sonata Sherpa synthesizer refuses to load after stalling for a long period of time and nearly crashing NVDA. Either the thing is bugged, or I have conflicting addons installed. Of course, it could very well be the latter, since I installed the Dengjen Neural Voices addon (a revival of the piper-only NVDA addon), Inflect, PocketTTS, and Supertonic-3 installed simultaneouslya longside it. Although, if it's evidently self-contained in its own folder, I'm unsure why that would be the case, since evidently Sonata Sherpa stores model files in a separate folder from these other synthesizers (as indicated by the voice manager originally stating said voices were not installed).

I just accidentally discovered that my N150's USB-C port also supports video output, and it works perfectly on Linux.
Not only that, but over Type-C it drives my monitor at 120 Hz, whereas over HDMI it's limited to 60 Hz. I had no idea!
@stefano would that usb-c go up to power your n150 too?

I have exactly two thoughts:
a) why do the few names that I recognize on that list not surprise me
b) what is the rationale for "we don't believe in consequences for people who did actual harm whose claim that there should be consequences for people who did no harm"
(To (b), I know I should stop looking for logic, it's a fool's errand).
Likewise, I didn’t recognise many names and the ones I did spot were ones I wouldn’t want my name associated with for other reasons. I wonder if the people signing it p knew the company they’d be keeping. I also wonder about the PhD students signing it and how many were pressured into it.
