Do you think Mr Cage will stay at the high school, or nah.
"In practice, most alternative search engines are backed by Google or Bing, or authoritarian states such as Russia and China. The lack of diversity in search engines makes it terrifyingly easy to censor information on the web, even if this is not intentional, having every major search engine be based in United States imposes a significant cultural bias on the rest of the world using these services."
Moving on to experiment with GPIO interrupts.
- Why the resistor for the button?
- I don't trust myself—I might accidentally switch the pin to OUTPUT mode :)

US-Iran fighting escalated tonight, the US destroyed five Iranian tankers, Iran struck vessels and a US base in Jordan. The exchanges have left 30 US troops injured, pushed oil toward $100/barrel, and further stalled diplomacy. Houthis in Yemen struck several Saudi cities, injuring 73 people.
Good morning. Dreamed of a way to bring all of humanity together as one people and transcend to the stars. Sound Unification Theory, I called it. We must harmonise. And when we discover the music that unites us all, we will be ready to evolve on a galactic scale. Anyway, morning. Hope you're terrific. La-la la LA-la la-laaaaaaaa.
@TheBreadmonkey I've got a fun scifi horror idea that ends in sunshine and rainbows
Basically we get ansible comms a la the Formics from Ender's game
Everybody keeps their sentience, but we all have full, instant access to everyone else's thoughts just by thinking about it.
There's an adjustment period, a lot of awful people die horribly, but then we actually start doing all the shit we've been saying we should, because no matter how good you are at it, we all lose The Game eventually
Only now losing has consequences like ptsd lol
@decryption @huwr what makes a glass roof a dealbreaker?
@layoutSubviews @huwr it isn't a deal breaker, but it's certainly not optimal. A glass roof gets fucking hot in summer. They radiate heat into the cabin and force the AC to work harder. Every EV I've owned with a glass roof has burnt my head. Never had that in a non-glass roof. You can get covers, and the EX30 cover I have does an okay job, but I'd rather not have to do that.
@lowqualityfacts It wasn't popularized until years later because the baker and butcher couldn't agree on whether to say it was the best thing since sliced bread or sliced ham.
Goodbye, my friend. I will miss you.
@stefano
Did it run NetBSD ?
"he’s involved in right-wing political parties all over the globe [...] many of these right-wing governments tend to be more pliable. It’s easier to buy the results you want from administrations that are utterly corrupt and venal and have no sense of restraint or internal checks and balances."

@aldercone yeeeeah. Super weirs.
An editor and a novice can ask for ten versions of the same paragraph, and their prompts may look alike. The editor is listening for a shift in register, a false note in the argument, a sentence that solves a local problem by weakening the whole. You get the same button either way; you don't get the same ear.
A parallel principle applies here. Those who seek fair elections are obliged to use responsible reasoning, to establish coherent principles and argue the substance of democracy’s foundations. But those who seek to undermine elections and destroy democracy can be utterly absurd in their logic. They do not need to make a coherent case; they only need chaos.

yesterday Dr. Betsy asked one of our daughters if there are any new musical artists that cover wealth inequality. She thought for a bit, and a little longer still, and said, "no, they're all nepo babies." 😬 that's the first line of this (incredible) song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Djp109m2Q4
