This, believe it or not, is the caption on a photo on The Guardian website: “Gianni Infantino carefully explains to Donald Trump that he is not part of the Spanish national team.”
This is now the third or fourth time I waste hours trying to "match the numbers", sketching out geometry, and trying random "sensible" formulas to match or approximate Live2D physics, and then the answer ends up being "just try doing the dumbest broken stuff you can think of".
Now, having finally understood the behavior, I know it's nonsensical, and not even invariant with the original pendulum angle.
Which means it will not be implemented in Ayagami. I hope nobody depends on this bug, but if they do, they can fix their model. Sorry.
The goal I have is to implement physics that "feel" the same, in the sense of fluidity/drag/etc., as Live2D physics. To that extent I'm willing to implement fudge factors to correct for imprecision in the original.
But not stuff like this, this is just a bug.
IT FINALLY HAPPENING, HE'S HERE! HE'S RETURNED! WE ARE SAVED!

lol. lmao, even.
“A New York sculptor has been left furious after spending $100,000 of his own money to build a lifesize statue of Charlie Kirk, only to find that no one wants to buy it. … Instead, he said he has been inundated by messages from people saying they intend to urinate on the sculpture. To add injury to insult, Furnari recently broke his foot working on the statue, after tripping over a roll of tape in his studio.”
“He later added: “Why am I making the statue? The same reason why Michelangelo did the Pietà, or Michelangelo did the David, or Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa. Why? Just to commemorate a moment, you know, a person.””
Parody can’t hold a candle to real life.

@drahardja Sorry, but the only fact he compares himself to worldwide recognized artists, make me feel my own right to say I'd like a huge group of living being to urinate on him. Not on the statue, on him.
Commemoration? Kirk was a fanatic, and has (too many) fanatics remembering him with honor. And statues are generally a sign of commemoration. True. But someone should be humble enough, to accept that if the figure represented on that statue has brought hatred in his whole life, the so-called artist cannot complain of not feeling accepted! They say that you make your bed, and then lie on it.
About Charlie Kirk himself, I consider him as a meaningful symbol, to be sadly remembered: he represents the failing part of America which goes behind politics, right, left.
It's a 22-years-old shooting to a 31-years-old guy, the sign of where politics should never arrive. Not something to be honored, but a warning. "never more arrive to that point"
Every childhood sci-fi dream we had becomes reality. We now have vertical takeoff and landing airplanes running on green energy only.
I could definitely see this replace the short commute seaplanes used for instance between Copenhagen and Aarhus.

Although it is a great tec and their webspace tells about electric advancements https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDnAJoGfrB0
i somehow still (have to) wait for a company which doesn't advertise it's innovations for just Execs but for the public use. 🤔
That'd be great.
"At this point I just feel sorry for Americans," Eby said. "If you're picking fights with Canadians, you don't have a friend in the world." - B.C. Premier David Eby
Exactly.

@Sminney yep, the aus govt wants it on the PBS, but Lilly wouldn't budge enough on price for the govt, so it just stalled

@decryption we can only hope the generics come as soon as legally possible.
So tired of "boomer" shit-talk.
I have lived my entire adult life in cooperative/communal housing. I was raised by a single mom before your parents were born, on welfare. I have lived on the street.
I am a boomer.
I *am* wealthy: I live on ~550 acres of rolling wooded foothills with 60 other people, and I own a heritable lease to my house, and I also own my car, a '96 Honda CRV. This is because I have always invested in community.
Generation-talk is mostly just shit-talk.
@GeePawHill I will paraphrase Paul Ford (because I lost five minutes of my life to find the exact quote. That's how I roll.) - "articles about the difference between generations is just media fluff and clickbait."
Gosh I have so much work to do... but I'm too angry because the engineer who built the fucking space mirror for Reflect Orbital and then quit openly admits that it won't actually provide solar power and that it's just for "Maybe there's some, you know, grand party in the desert"
Fuck ecology and sleep patterns, we have to light up a party in the desert from orbit!
FUCK TECHBROS EVERYWHERE.
@sundogplanets
I wouldn't stress about it - it's insane that they got any funding in the first place but I don't think this pointless project is gonna get off the ground. The money they'd need to launch the number of satellites that they'd need to achieve what they're promising... no, it just doesn't add up.
@jamey yes and there's also mesa's implementation, but still...
@mildsunrise but still, indeed, yeah
@mildsunrise I suppose the inverse thing (https://github.com/KhronosGroup/MoltenVK) is in the training data, so maybe that helps? I dunno though
@jamey yes and there's also mesa's implementation, but still...

I wish we could just take this whole "hybrid meetings can work" thing, kiss it up to heaven, and let it go.
@GeePawHill Been singing this song for 30 years now.
What she said.
Temperature departures averaged over the last month (left), 3 months (center), and 12 months (right) across the Northern Hemisphere... Note the large anomaly over western Siberia from June. 🔥

I am in great need of the media of the kitty cats. Please share? 🥺
@catsalad this is my cute boy who wanted nothing more than to be friends with my ex's cats. Exhibit A, he's trying to win her over with his nonchalant demeanor.
