A modest readability improvement might be easy via:
def my_class = self.class

@soulcutter Just a quick thought after stumbling over Swift’s “Self” vs. “self”. And Ruby’s “self.class” always feels a little awkward to me.
In my PoC implementation, MyClass::Self would be MyClass if no such constant is explicitly defined.

Yep, agree, it’s time to move past the libertarian idea of “free-as-in-freedom software” to something progressive. And I don’t think any of the bodies that currently own the space (FSF, OSI, etc) will do it.

either way it would be very harmful to the internet and to the economy as a whole
whereas the laws _as written_ are quite finely tuned to target social media and it's close cousins

I'm going to be giving a talk on Saturday at 14:50 in stage b titled "so you want to go to space?" I'm running a planetarium show after that, and there will be a star party (bunch of telescopes you can come and look through.) Its looking like it'll probably be Friday or Saturday night, but it's entirely weather dependent.
