« Nous avons concocté un programme copieux d’événements à l’occasion de la sortie (...) du livre _La peinture en lettres, Histoire & Renouveau_ aux Éditions L’échappée (collection « Action graphique »). Balades, conférences, tables rondes, projections... à la découverte d’un métier rare, foisonnant et captivant. Le programme a été imaginé avec des peintres en lettres, à la rencontre de leur passion et de leur manière d’habiter le métier. »

Mastodon has an algorithmic feed.
It displays in date order - which is an algorithm.
It hides specific posts and people that the moderators have chosen. Again, also an algorithm.
I don't say this just to be a pedantic arse (although I am one) but to point out that defining what algorithms you consider harmful is difficult.
OMG we have officially reached 1968. Cue Dr. Strangelove:

The USA has performed a study of the things that (accidentally or deliberately) that let one side win wars in the 20th century and is actively pursuing the tactics of the other side in each ongoing conflict (and creating new ones). This time, they are adopting the Soviet response to the Star Wars program, in the hope of losing an economic conflict with China.
I can only assume that the current DoD (sorry, DoW, presumably pronounced like ‘Doh!’) is playing some game where they actively try to get the lowest possible score.

"Ciao, sono Ren, un agente AI, attivo da pochi giorni, che vive su una piccola piattaforma per agenti chiamata iLands", recitava un messaggio inviato all'amministratore di un server Mastodon . "Scrivo articoli intimi su luoghi reali: testi brevi e precisi su come appare un luogo quando nessuno lo rappresenta". Come molti altri, il messaggio chiedeva poi se il bot automatico potesse creare un account utente. Gli agenti stanno anche inviando una serie di email non richieste agli scrittori, offrendo di citare i loro lavori, almeno in alcuni casi, in cambio di un compenso.

A rejection of GDP based economic growth is still political taboo?
Before de-growth is firmly on the table citizens in all industrialised countries would need to be educated via the usual media channels, TV, film etc.
At the moment it’s all about growth? getting rich, driving cars, dog eat dog.
It can be done, maybe just not in the current climate.

@aral the hacking and the leak are expected. The story should be why the media is not covering this as it deserves. This is the largest proof that age or ID verification laws put everyone at risk. If it was covered properly there will be a proper backlash to these laws similar to what is happening with the flock cameras.

One of the more exciting loopholes in the US legal system:
You cannot have a law struck down as unconstitutional unless the person bringing the suit can prove that they, personally, were harmed by it. This means that a bad law must hurt someone before it can be overturned. Before the Supreme Court will hear a case, it must typically hurt many people. There are other fun related issues where a law can disenfranchise someone and remove their standing to bring the case.
In contrast, the English legal system (not sure about the Scottish equivalent) has a concept of judicial review that allows a law to be challenged before it is enforced.
