In 2018, I was looking for an old tongue twister song that I had memorized while in high school between 1989-1993. (Memorizing wacky songs was the kind of thing I enjoyed doing at the time.) I didn't remember the name of the song or the artist, I just had the lyrics (several tongue twisters) and I knew I heard it from the Dr. Demento Show. If you're not familiar with the show, this was a rare radio show that prided itself on bringing funny and wacky comedy and comedic music to the public. Dr. Demento also helped launch and make Weird Al.

So I decided to reach out to the Dr. Demento show to see if I could find the song, and to my amazement, Dr. Demento himself wrote back. We had a lovely exchange back and forth as he was so kind as to try to help me nail down the song. Well, eventually his archivist found it! (He had multiple people working on it for me!)

The piece is called "Tongue Twister Twist," and it was created by their Demented Newsman, Whimsical Will, back in 1985. It was most recently aired in 1989. Will does all the voices. "He recorded it using two cassette recorders [over 40] years ago, so the sound is not 21st century state of the art, but it's still lots of fun, and quite an accomplishment actually." - Dr. Demento

It's a shame his show finally ended last year.

@randahl The Wendat people (which were referred by the early French settlers as "Hurons") were there long before that there was a country called the United States of America. Another thing is that "America" is a continent, not a country, so calling it "Lake of [a continent]" just sounds stupid.

@davidgerard @henryk The main ongoing use case for nuclear that I can see is for decarbonizing shipping. The alternative zero carbon power sources are all a bit crap (synthetic fuels: energetically inefficient, ammonia: poisonous as fuck, batteries: range-limited, sails: don't scale up to ULCC size, don't work if no wind).

I assume we will DESPERATELY need bulk shipping this century as our agricultural stability craters, to ship food from still-productive regions into famine zones.

I'd like to mention in no way I am a professional, I just mess around with laptops, but the first thing I would recommend is get the correct name and model of the laptop and go to Ifixit website and see if there is a guide for opening your device.
And there is definitely something wrong with your device, it should be booting, so it could be a couple of issues, the battery went or there was a fault with the motherboard they provided or maybe even a wire came loose.
But if you open the device the warranty will be void, so it is up to you, but my personal experience with sending laptops back to the company, is they don't really fix it at all and in fact took 6 months before I got my device back, and it still wasn't fixed.

That of course is all my personal experience and it could be different for you. It might be worth sending it back and if it still isn't fixed then attempt to find another place or try to fix it yourself?

Disconnect the charger and all USB devices. Press the Power button for a full minute. Plug the charger back in. Wait 5 minutes and then try to power on.

If that doesn't make a difference, try letting it charge overnight.

If that still doesn't work, it might be necessary to ship it for repair under warranty.
