Some time in the early 1920s Christopher Robin Milne is feeding condensed milk to a bear named Winnie at London Zoo.
Milne named his toy bear after Winnie and his father made a famous book or two featuring the pair of them and some other toys.
Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the publication of the first #Winnie-the-pooh book in 1926.

Living in a city that is located at the sea and that supports reading a book by the sea is a game changer for me. It is not just that the distances are short. Also the streets and the public transport invite to enjoy Kiel‘s little beauties. Grapping a book, getting on your bike and just not worrying too much about being harrest or run over is something so calming that it feels very normal. Having save streets and seeing that politics and city administration work hand in hand to get rid of the still many dangerous and troubling parts of bad infrastructure coming from a car centric mindset that was dominant in the past an that is still very dominant in the two other cities where I have spent most of my lifetime. Bremen and Stuttgart.
Enjoying the urban outdoors in Kiel starts with the journey not at the destination.

AI is flooding the web -- one of the ways Big Tech is wiping out the open Internet as fast as it can. How can we collectively stop them?
@dangillmor I'm a bit skeptical about the step between 'more sites are (co)-generated my AI' and that being a sign of the 'open internet' being wiped out.
Having an internet presence out of social networks has been limited to the folx with technical knowledge or the financial background to pay techies for it. AI seems to allow the crowd of non tech inclined folx to also be present in the internet. Imho, that facet is not bad at all, quite the contrary.
A lot of people are apparently happily running a script clearly marked as a root exploit from some random website using curl | bash 
Some do inspect the script, but then still run it using curl | bash anyway. 
Incidentally, this very relevant blogpost about detecting curl | bash and serving different scripts based on that is almost exactly a decade old:

@ricmac I filter to hide it behind a content warning with or w/o a hashtag so your original post was CW and I clicked because I'm in a curious mood.
It was pretty no fuss.
Its also why I wanted to comment.
We're all a bit overwhelmed and overstimulated but you should still be able to explore things intellectually in good faith. The tools exist to quietly disengage if necessary and everyone has a different threshold.
