The weirdest fucking sentence in this is “AI isn’t just another tech trend — it’s at the heart of most apps, tools and technology we use today”.
That is just an outright blatant lie. How did they come up with this bullshit?
They’re completely untrustworthy fartwaffles.
@thomasfuchs liking this post for the new word I learned today
ICE assaulted a Native man—violently pulled him from his car—and detained him. He was then released because he is emphatically not an immigrant. Today they charged him—on a secret warrant and secret indictment, zero public evidence—with assaulting an ICE agent.
bing has, without reason, blocked neocities.org *completely* from its index: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46789400
TIL DuckDuckGo uses Bing.
Danish really is a strange language. As this graphic shows, the Danish word "nå" has 12 different meanings, if not more.
You may think that cannot be true, but as a Dane I can confirm this is no exaggeration.
It is all about various tonal changes in the pronounciation, but essentially it is the same word used for 12 different meanings. Not unlike how "right" can both be a direction or the opposite of wrong or an expression of disbelief as in "Riiiiiiiight".
@randahl in Australia, no is “yeah, nah” and yes is “nah, yeah”
We are living in a moment where collective harm is being repackaged as individual failure.
Where the very real impact of systems, institutions, and policies designed to exclude, exploit, and dehumanize gets reframed as a mindset problem. A resilience problem. A positivity problem. A personal responsibility problem.
And it’s happening with the language of spirituality. With the aesthetics of healing. With the tone of encouragement.
If you do not want to use software from a US tech industry that supports Donald Trump, this is the website you have been looking for:
@randahl Funny that this web site, european alternatives, has a LinkedIn site
Where do I apply for one of these "paid agitator and insurrectionist" jobs I keep hearing so much about? I keep doing it for free so it would be nice to get a pay check.
@andyb just when I think we're at the bottom of the barrel, a new bottom appears
What are some good video games that have, as part of their game mechanics, portions where you are navigating through a fake program or operating system?
PCG: DUDE, WHAT'S WITH THE TEXT?
...but have you ever used a keyboard with a touchscreen with a keyboard on it?
@thomasfuchs this is the future movies promised us.
If you could pick one non-U.S. tech, product, or service to switch to, what would you recommend, and why? Open-source and self-hosting options welcome!
@zackwhittaker n8n for Workflow Automation. Great software from Berlin.
MS Paint requires a login now
No matter how shitty FOSS is, and sometimes it is really quite mediocre, it isn't THAT bad
🍿 as the giant wyrm called capitalism eats itself
@greg microsoft are actually wild for this hahaha. I thought it was bad when they tried to make it 3D.

Von in Westdeutschland Sozialisierten würde ich mir wünschen, dass sie kurz über das Gelesene nachdenken statt abzuwinken
#RuthAsawa in 500 characters:
Modernist sculptor Ruth Asawa was born in 1926 to Japanese immigrant parents. Her family was interned and separated during World War II.
Not allowed to return to CA for school, Asawa heard about Black Mountain College. There she studied with Joseph Albers, Merce Cunningham and others.
There she began developing her first crocheted wire sculptures.
sleeping is for noobs anyways
