Dear friends, unfortunately these past few weeks haven't been easy, and the next ones will probably be similar. A series of family issues to deal with, along with work to keep going, are taking away the time I can devote to other activities. This means I'll be a bit less present online, and the new projects coming up will have to wait, at least for a while, but they're still on the way.

They knew *exactly* what they were doing and it has stood the test of time. Resistance is futile: escape is almost impossible.

My use of WhatsApp is hanging by a thread… for reasons.
But the following loop arises fairly frequently cos Meta update the desktop app with tiresome regularity:
1. WhatsApp will expire on DD Mmm
Update
Dismiss
2. Clicks Update
3. AppStore comes to the fore
- Clicks Update
- Please quit WhatsApp
4. WhatsApp: modal for Update | Dismiss is still open so it won't quit
Obviously, the answer is to ‘Dismiss’ the modal and then proceed but why tf isn’t the modal already closed anyway
…The fact that Meta update WhatsApp desktop every couple of weeks strongly suggests to me some underlying fuckery at work
