It’s a dystopian scenario and I admit myself it’s more than a little hysterical. But entire eras, that lasted decades or centuries, originated with similar thinking. It’s completely within human capability for civilization to go this way.
It’s also possible, at any point, to stop it. To stop admiring plutocrats, to find leaders who see the peril, to not play into fearing and hating and fighting against each other, to care about each other, to unite when they want us to divide and submit.

I have just come up with an aphorism. You ready? Okay.
Just as an army marches on its stomach, an engineering team marches on its operations.
Bad operations? No marching.
Fighting with operations? No marching.
No appreciation for operations? No marching.
Great ops? Amazing logistics; all ground covered that you need covered, every time.
Great relations with ops? Same.
End of aphorism.
As I say, it's a known problem with multiple known solutions. It's just that *I've* never done it.
It's fairly "untestable", so tomorrow, I'll start by writing some kotlin and rendering the histogram at T=0, just to make sure I have the S distribution looking like it should.

FreeBSD networking is annoying. I have an LACP LAGG with a vlan on top. That vlan is bridged with a vnet into a bhyve vm. For some reason, the dhcp response packets aren't making it back into the vlan interface even.
