Software engineer, scientist and general humanist. Fighting the system from the inside. I like some stuff and don't like some other stuff. Prepare for climate chaos or regret it.
I am a retired technology leader. Whether I am not out on my bike doing errands or riding long distances, I spend a lot of time as Chair and board member of Halifax Cycling Coalition.
I have been working for almost two years on the @CyclingGuide app, now with Cycling Guide Foundation.
I also do volunteer mentoring of tech startups -- if you're interested, reach out.
IT radical, Neo video producer, Fiat 500 activist, Senator in waiting.
Just a human playing a weird game of COVID-19 dodgeball day in and day out. Getting more and more exhausted.
Family, faith, food. Sure, I'd have a beer.
I just don't know what to say? LGBTQ2S community, rapidly approaching my 8th decade ;) which I love to use but it means i'm approaching my 70th birthday. Loved Vancouver Island so retired here several years ago. It always felt like home so? Switched to Linux from Windows 95 - the other choice was 98 which even then was junk. Currently running Debian. Trying to learn to use social media - thank you Mastodon. I did get burned by the other social media and that was before.

He who knows the wild animals of the world always travels among friends, and in every land he finds a welcome.
I photograph and write about the world I see around me here on Vancouver Island: the forests and hllls, things green and wet, the none- to multi-legged critters that scramble, ooze, and slither on our beaches, birds and the occasional beast.

I am a woodturning artist living in Nova Scotia, Canada with my wife, border collie and our 3 Cornish Rex cats. I was born in the UK and lived in France before arriving on these shores 25+ years ago. I have demonstrated and taught all over Canada, the USA, and New Zealand and teach privately in my workshop in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. I hate winter.
I have been a professional product and performance photographer.
