I used to make internet on airplanes (I'm sorry, I've done so much wrong). I'm trans (I'm so happy now, I was so wrong back then).

* I build things.
* I used to be a system architect. I designed, helped build, and used to run one of the ~10 airborne Internet systems on this planet.
* I make mediocre photographs using antique chemicals and cameras
* I ride a few small motorcycles from before I was born.
* Now I spend most of my time trying to figure out who I am.

For fun, I dink around automating stuff with Linux and Perl and Bash, messing about with old tech and emulators, converting video formats, etc.

For money, I do aviation and maritime internet systems stuff for Inmarsat. I worked for a long time at RealNetworks doing mostly streaming media and transcoding testing. Before that, digital prepress software support and testing for Imation/Luminous/Adobe.
