Top Gun: Maverick is a fun movie and I think mostly better than the first. Air battles are easier to follow, pace and editing more modern, plus it looks amazing. There are so many up close high resolution shots of real airplanes in actual flight that's such a breath of fresh air compared to the pre-rendered video game vibe a lot of action movies have lately. Story-wise they did a good job tying into where the first one left off. It's not a rehash or remake, but the beats are all... familiar.

There was a survey by the Jewish federation of North America in 2025. About 90% of Jewish people believe Israel has the right to exist as a democratic Jewish state. Only 37% identify as Zionist, but only 15% are non-zionists or anti-Zionist. A lot of people just said, none of these.

I finished one pronouns T-shirt; I've also made a black version with less overlap between each line, but it's currently in the wash to get the chalk lines out.
I used Pebeo Setacolor fabric paints and a cheap alphabet stencil - not sure what the font is but it's similar to Impact, I guess?
The lettering is a bit rougher than I'd like. The Pebeo paints are a bit too liquid to use with a sponge stippling brush without a lot of bleeding under the stencil, but using a regular bristle brush with a stencil can be a bit of a challenge too. I think if I make any more, I'll make my own text stencil first so I don't get as many issues from having to reposition the stencil for each letter. I don't think there's much I could use in the way of adhesives for the stencil either, since the paint has to be heat-set before washing.
(Unfortunately, not enough space across the front to do they/them/theirs instead, at least on the size and style I wear.)
