Finally found my old wiki page documenting stuff that bothers me about Signal, as of 2019;
Some of this is out of date. I need to go through it all and figure out what's still an issue and/or a verifiable fact about Signal's history, find suitable archive links for pages no longer on the web, etc.

One part that definitely needs updating is the endorsement of Wire. I haven't actively used their service for a few years. Instead I've been using mainly Matrix services for chat and online calls, and occasionally Jabber services like @snikket_im (using XMPP). I still use SMS and cell network calling a lot within Aotearoa, so I don't use online chats and calls as much as many people I know.
