This beer tastes like fish.
Although, up until now, I have merely avoided the beer-that-tastes-like-fish aisle, on the theory that it takes all kinds, going forward, please consider me an *active* opponent of the beer-that-tastes-like-fish movement.

Funny true story: When I traveled for work, I always found a hotel that had or was very near a bar, cuz, you know, it's me.
Once outside Toronto, the hotel I stayed in was part of a big circular complex, and the only bar was a Dave & Buster's across the wide parking lot.

So that's where I'd go. I'd sit quietly at the bar, drinking cheap scotch, reading my kindle, and looking up and around from time to time. As typical with me, I came to know the bartender and servers a little bit as the gig wore on.
And there was a young woman, there, she worked back in the office in HR, and she would come out from time to time to talk to one employee or another.
And she was, I am not kidding, this young woman was Hollywood-class beautiful. I mean, an absolutely perfect face.
And one night, I was sitting there with my book and my drink, reading away in the Dave & Buster's, and she came out in her coat, done for the day, and sat down at the far end of the bar and got herself a beer.
She was about four seats away from me. I was *studiously* reading my book, cuz I'm aware of how creepy guys can be.
And all of a sudden, she turns to me out of the blue, and says to me, quite loudly, "This beer tastes like ass."
And I made a new friend. :)
@GeePawHill I've decided if you can read a book in a bar then I can too. This is very exiting, because I want to try more kinds of mixed drinks (most probably only once). And try all the world's espresso martinis, and anything else coffee based. I know how to make an outstanding Irish coffee. Anything I ought to know about bar etiquette, assuming minimal prior experience?
@GeePawHill Many kinds of fish are delicious. Many kinds of beer are delicious. There are even beers that taste good WITH fish.
But they are different and shouldn’t taste like each other.
