I wholeheartedly believe that every man should watch this video, because i bet none can grasp quite how terribly women get treated, even at work, without being challenged

Somehow this reminded me of a quote from The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul, about things that lots of people do, each thinking it's just a one-off unique incident and it doesn't form any kind of pattern, while the person they're each separately, individually, doing it to is having this thing happen to them *all the fucking time* and is absolutely pissed off with it. I don't know if that's at all relevant.

@NatGrayYes @thisisjofrank I am a man in tech. I absolutely have been part of the problem before. I acknowledge that, and am working to rectify that. We men MUST speak up and speak out against our co-workers who do this.
Let her talk, if you catch yourself talking over her, stop, back up and let her talk.
Guy make a 'funny' sexist joke, don't fake laugh, just say "huh, that's not cool". and move on. Don't let the behavior be the norm, say something, don't make a big deal.
